We offer over 130 world-class studio group fitness classes per week built into your membership that are designed to give you the best the industry has to offer.  HealthQuest offers a variety of studio group fitness classes that focus on things such as body sculpting, flexibility, and cardiovascular health. On our schedule you’ll find a variety of fitness favorites including TRX, HIIT Training, Yoga, Barre and many of the world known Les Mills programs.  Our qualified and high energy fitness professionals, including multiple Les Mills Master Presenters, is ready to take your fitness to new heights with the best community in Hunterdon County, NJ.

Cardio

Step to It

A traditional step class is a high-energy, full-body workout that uses an elevated platform, called a “step,” typically ranging from 4 to 10 inches in height. Participants perform a series of choreographed movements, stepping up and down off the platform in sync with upbeat music. The class focuses on improving cardiovascular fitness, strength, and coordination. The session typically begins with a warm-up to prepare the body, followed by a series of basic step patterns set to energetic music to keep you motivated.

Courageous Cardio

Step up to the challenge in a high-energy class designed to build strength, boost enfurance, and push your limits. Rotate through the timed exercises that combine strength training and bursts of cardio for a full-body workout that keeps your heart pumping and muscles burning. Perfect for all fitness levels, this class is all; about determination, effort, and celebrating your inner courage.

Running Club

Each week the group will meet in a different location to run together. The director of the program, Marion Fusi, will email the group to let you know what is on the agenda for the week. You will learn how to set up a program and train for a specific run, or just to enhance your fitness level. For questions, email the director at Runningclub@hqfit.com.

BodyAttack
BODYATTACK™ is a high-energy fitness class with moves that work for total beginners to total addicts. We combine athletic movements like running, lunging and jumping with strength exercises such as push-ups and squats. A LES MILLS™ instructor will pump out energizing tunes and lead you through the workout – challenging your limits in a good way, leaving you with a sense of achievement. BODYATTACK is a whole body workout that burns calories while toning and shaping. You’ll build stamina and our sports-inspired moves will improve your coordination and agility. Get quicker off the mark in everything you do.

BodyCombat
BODYCOMBAT is a high-energy martial arts-inspired workout that is totally non-contact. Punch and kick your way to fitness. Learn moves from Karate, Taekwondo, Boxing, Muay Thai, Capoeira and Kung Fu. Release stress, have a blast and feel like a champ. Bring your best fighter attitude and leave inhibitions at the door. Destroy calories as you punch, kick, block and strike. Get a whole body workout that targets every muscle group. Guided by an experienced instructor, you’ll get all the attention you need to master proper technique and exercise effectively, whatever your fitness level.

Functional BodyStep
In a BODYSTEP workout you can expect a mixture of upbeat, rhythmic stepping, with squat and lunge patterns to work the legs. Combine this with movements like burpees, push ups and weight plate exercises, and the result is a fun, uplifting, full-body workout! Don’t worry, there’s heaps of options so that everyone leaves feeling successful. Our instructors coach you through the workout. We play invigorating, hit music and inject a whole lot of fun and personality along the way, and you’ll leave buzzing with satisfaction.

LM Tone
If you want the optimal mix of strength, cardio and core training this is it. Step into a LES MILLS TONE class and you’ll tick off a complete workout in 45 minutes. The challenging mix of lunges, squats, functional training and tubing exercises will help you burn calories and take your fitness to the next level. Also, a great foundational class, LES MILLS TONE has a wide variety of options accommodating all fitness levels ensuring everyone leaves the workout feeling successful. LES MILLS TONE will burn calories and help you build fitness and strength while improving energy levels, flexibility, balance, agility and core strength. Guided by an experienced instructor, you’ll get all the attention you need to master proper technique and exercise effectively, whatever your fitness level.

LM Mash Up
Switch up your training with Les Mills Mash Up! Every Les Mills Mash Up class is different based on the programs the instructor teaches – a fun way to try something new or mix up programs you already know and love! Strength

BodyPump
The high rep, lower weight training of BODYPUMP™ is based on a formula called THE REP EFFECT™, which utilizes time under tension and fatigue to generate muscular adaptation. During a BODYPUMP workout, the fusion of science-backed moves, motivating instructors and great music helps you achieve much more than you would on your own. BODYPUMP really is the ultimate resistance training workout. Studies also show that BODYPUMP can generate athleticism; improving strength, power and speed. There is also evidence that the high-repetition, low-load training of BODYPUMP can increase bone density and reduce the risk of osteoporosis. And, BODYPUMP has been shown to reduce inflammatory markers and drive significant gains in functional ability.

BodyPump Express
The 45-minute format of BodyPump combines the bicep & tricep tracks and the lunges & shoulders for a more efficient and functional training session! LM Core
Inspired by elite athletic training principles, LES MILLS CORE™ is a scientific core workout for incredible core tone and sports performance. You build strength, stability and endurance in the muscles that support your core, improve balance, assist injury prevention, and become better at everything you do.
All the moves in LES MILLS CORE have options, so it’s challenging but achievable whatever your level of fitness. During the workout, trained Instructors guide you through correct technique as you work with resistance tubes and weight plates, as well as bodyweight exercises like crunches, and hovers. Plus there are some hip, butt and lower back exercises too.

Strength Development
Build strength, power and confidence with Les Mills Strength Development, a progressive, weight-based workout designed to help you achieve your fitness goals. This class focuses on mastering strength training techniques with barbells, dumbbells, and bodyweight exercises, combining controlled movements and proper form. Perfect for all fitness levels, you’ll increase muscle endurance, enhance functional fitness, and see measurable results over time. Get stronger with every session. This is a 12 week strength training cycle, with each week having a specific focus.

Functional Strength
LES MILLS FUNCTIONAL STRENGTH draws inspiration from sports conditioning and performance training to create a challenging strength workout. This full-body 45 min workout uses dynamic supersets of loaded compound moves, including squats, deadlifts, and bench presses, to offer a fresh take on fundamental movement. Expect innovative training that increases the heart rate to build athletic strength and improve power and fitness.

LM Shapes
LES MILLS SHAPES combines the best of Pilates, barre and power yoga with modern playful beats. This invigorating low-impact workout uses small, controlled movements and repetition to target muscles, sculpt, strengthen, and improve alignment and flexibility. Suitable for all fitness levels, LES MILLS SHAPES is all about finding the hot spot and training at an intensity that works for you.

Ultimate Core
The Ultimate Core Class is an intense and comprehensive fitness session specifically designed to target and strengthen the core muscles. This dynamic workout combines a variety of core centric exercises, including planks, twists, leg raises, and stability exercises. The emphasis is on building core strength, stability and endurance. The class may incorporate variations of traditional exercises challenging members to push their limits for optimal core engagement and overall fitness.

Kettlebell Bootcamp
Kettlebell Bootcamp is a Dynamic fitness program that incorporates kettlebell exercises into a high intensity workout. Participants use kettlebells of varying weights to perform strength and cardio exercises, promoting overall fitness and endurance. The bootcamp format often includes circuit training, functional movements, and intervals for a comprehensive and challenging workout.

TRX
TRX which stands for Total Body Resistance Exercise, is revolutionary workout method that uses your body weight and gravity as resistance to build strength, balance, coordination, flexibility, core and joint stability. So, whether you want to build strength, lose fat, improve endurance or flexibility, the TRX Suspension Trainer can be used to achieve any fitness goal. By simply leveraging your body weight to perform hundreds of exercises, you get a full body workout, while simultaneously working your core. And because you’re working with one training tool, and can adjust your weight on the fly, you can minimize your training time by switching from one exercise to the next in just seconds.

TRX – Mixed Modality

HOT30 Shred
Ready to build the heat with a blended class of HIIT, Sculpt, Yoga, Barre, and Pilates? This class is a quick way to strengthen and lengthen! Using our infrared heat lamps to build your own heat, you’re sure to sweat. A pilates sock or sneaker will be best for this class. Using our infrared heat lamps to build your own heat.

Cycling

LM RPM CYCLE
RPM™ combines hit music with the motivational power of an inspiring Instructor leading you on a journey of hill climbs, sprints and flat riding. The workout is based on the science of Cardio Peak Training, which involves maintaining your heart rate at an aerobic training base (between 60 and 80 percent of your maximum heart rate) with interspersed peaks of intensity (pushing you to 85 to 90 percent of your max). This specific blend of steady-state and high-intensity builds cardio endurance and also drives the transformative fat-burning effects associated with high-intensity interval training.

LM Sprint
LES MILLS SPRINT™ is a 30-minute High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) workout, using an indoor bike to achieve fast results. It’s a short, intense style of training where the thrill and motivation comes from pushing your physical and mental limits. A high intensity, low impact workout, it’s scientifically proven to return rapid results. The 30 minutes you put into a LES MILLS SPRINT workout drives your body to burn calories for hours. Pedal & Pump
Take your workout to the next level! This cycle class is a dynamic fusion of cycling and strength training. Start with high-energy intervals on the bike to build endurance and burn calories, then hop off for targeted strength exercises using weights. This class is perfect for those looking to improve both cardiovascular fitness and full body strength-all in one class. Get ready to pedal, pump and power through!

Cycle Energy Zones
In this dynamic and performance-driven cycle class, we use the Coach by Color zone training system to guide you through different intensities, helping you target specific power outputs and boost your cycling performance. Whether you’re new to cycling or an experienced rider, this class is designed to help you improve endurance, strength, and power. Each segment of the class is structured around a specific color zone, which corresponds to a certain intensity level that will challenge and motivate you to push your limits!

Cycle / Upper Body Sculpt
Get ready for a full-body workout that blends cardio cycling with targeted upper body sculpting! Cycle/ Upper Body Sculpt combines cycling intervals with light weight training to help you tone and define your arms, shoulders, and upper back. This class is perfect for those looking to improve endurance, build strength, and shape the upper body while enjoying the benefits of a heart-pumping cycling workout. This class is perfect for all fitness levels looking to enhance their upper body tone while getting a great cardiovascular workout.

Cycle Express
Our Cycle Express class is a sport specific, non-competitive, individually paced ride. Using our ICG, IC6 bikes and coach by color system that utilizes color zones to help guide participants gage their intensity. This cycle class is a 30 minute class with the instructor taking you through a quick intense ride to a great upbeat playlist.

Cycle Power
Ride to the beat, feel the rhythm, push your limits, and ignite your power in this high-energy cycle class! Cycle Power combines beat-driven choreography with interval-based challenges to build strength, endurance, and speed. Ride to an electrifying playlist that keeps you motivated through climbs, sprints, and steady-state efforts. Perfect for all fitness levels, this class will leave you sweaty, energized, and ready to conquer your day!

Mind & Body

BodyBalance
Ideal for anyone and everyone, BODYBALANCE™ is a new generation yoga class that will improve your mind, your body and your life. You can expect to bend and stretch through a series of simple yoga moves, elements of Tai Chi and Pilates while an inspiring soundtrack plays in the background. Breathing control is a part of all the exercises, and instructors will always provide options for those just getting started. Improve your flexibility and increase core strength while you reduce stress levels. You’ll focus your mind and create a lasting sense of wellbeing and calm. Powered by science – Controlled breathing, concentration and stretches makes BODYBALANCE a useful recovery solution. Participants feel more positive, confident, motivated, and less stressed.

Warm Yoga Flow
Warm Yoga Flow is an all-levels class that incorporates energetic movement for a sense of fluid physical motion. Warm yoga Flow is an all-levels class that incorporates energetic movement through a series of asanas (yoga postures), by which the student experiences a sense of fluid physical motion. Breath is combined with movement for flow that creates a mind body connection. WarmYoga Flow contributes to enhanced flexibility, muscle tone, core strength, emotional well-being, and improved health of the back and spine. The Prana Studio is warmed using our infrared panels.

Yoga Flow
Yoga Flow is an all-levels class that incorporates energetic movement through a series of asanas (yoga postures), by which the student experiences a sense of fluid physical motion. Breath is combined with movement for flow that creates a mind and body connection. Yoga Flow contributes to enhanced flexibility, muscle tone, core strength, emotional well-being, and improved health of the back and spine.

Mat Pilates
Mat Pilates is a way to stretch and strengthen your body, primarily the muscles of the core, which span from your hips to your shoulders. Joseph Pilates developed this exercise methodology in the early 1900s, and it borrows from disciplines such as dance, yoga and classic calisthenics. The Mat Pilates series of exercises is performed equipment-free, with the moves adapted to work with just your body and a floor mat for cushioning and support.

Open Level Flow
All levels of experience welcome to open level flow. This is a LYT method inspired class that incorporates an attention to alignment and encourages a foundation of awareness for how we move our body intelligently and intentionally back to balance. This class draws attention to the core of it all, the spine. And aims to create stability around the neutral alignment of the spine so that mobility and full range of motion can be returned to the rest of the body.

Pilates Lengthen & Strengthen
Using Mat Pilates movements, lengthen muscles to release tension and improve posture and alignment while strengthening the powerhouse for greater functional movement. Lees will teach you the basics of Pilates, alignment, and functional range of motion to help improve your daily function

Power Yoga
Power yoga is a vigorous, fitness-based approach to vinyasa-style yoga. Power yoga incorporates the athleticism of Ashtanga, including lots of vinyasas (series of poses done in sequence), but provides flexibility to switch up the order, making every class different!

All Levels Flow with Savasana
A dynamic and challenging flow class that links movement with breath and focuses on building alignment, strength, flexibility, and balance. This inclusive practice is perfect for beginners and seasoned yogis alike, offering modifications and challenges to suit your needs. Ending in a peaceful Savasana to leave you feeling grounded and refreshed.

Tai Chi
Tai Chi Chuan refers to a philosophy of yin and yang, the study of natural harmony. Through movements, deep breathing, the focus of intention, the idea of body and mind in synch becomes reality. Proper practice can help you rediscover your natural movement, freedom of energy, and personal potential.

HIIT

Barre HIIT/ Cardio
This class is based on variable intensity interval training. It is made up of set timed intervals that focus on higher intensity training for the cardiovascular system, blended with strength intervals which lower the heart rate but create that barre burn feeling in the muscles. Classic barre exercises along with standard functional fitness movement make up this well-rounded class. All exercises are low impact with optional higher impact variations for those who welcome them.

Cardio Tabata
Start with a warmup to gradually increase your heartrate and prepare your muscles, followed by the main workout combining intervals of high-intensity exercises with short intervals of rest. Some equipment may be incorporated such a step, jump ropes, weights, bands, ETC.

HIIT
Challenge yourself to this fast-paced full body workout that pushes you out of your comfort zone. Designed for all fitness levels, this class combines short bursts of intense efforts with active recovery to boost endurance. Expect a mix of bodyweight exercises, cardio drills and strength training movements to keep your heart pumping and your muscles working. Get ready to challenge yourself, and leave feeling unstoppable.

TRX HIIT
This class combines a HITT workout and a TRX workout. A Combo TRX HIIT class blends the benefits of TRX suspension training with the intensity of high-intensity interval training (HIIT). This dynamic workout alternates between TRX-based exercises and explosive, high-intensity moves, offering a full-body workout that enhances strength, endurance, and cardiovascular fitness.

Aqua

AquaFit
A low-impact, full-body workout designed to build overall strength and improve cardio endurance. Shallow and deep water techniques used, with all the equipment needed to make you feel comfortable and challenge you.

Cardio H2O
Dive into an exciting, low-impact workout with Cardio H2O! This high-energy, water-based fitness class combines cardiovascular training with the resistance of water to deliver a full-body workout that’s easy on the joints but tough on calories. Barre Blend

Chair Low Impact/Tone

Active Aging Gentle Yoga
This class is designed to support strength, flexibility, balance, and relaxation in a safe and welcoming environment. Low Impact Strength Circuit
An interval-based strength, balance, and ground to standing class focusing on multi-joint movements and training for life! This class is perfect for those just returning to exercise, seniors, or as an active recovery day.

Zumba Gold
Perfect For active older adults who are looking for a modified Zumba® class that recreates the original moves you love at a lower intensity.

Dance

Zumba
Zumba is for everybody and every body! Each Zumba® class is designed to bring people together to sweat it on.
We take the “work” out of workout, by mixing low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party. Once the Latin and World rhythms take over, you’ll see why Zumba® Fitness classes are often called exercise in disguise. A total workout, combining all elements of fitness – cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility, boosted energy and a serious dose of awesome each time you leave class.

Zumba Toning
Perfect For those who want to party, but put extra emphasis on toning and sculpting to define those muscles! The challenge of adding resistance by using Zumba® Toning Sticks (or light weights), helps you focus on specific muscle groups, so you (and your muscles) stay engaged! Lightweight maraca-like Toning Sticks enhances sense of rhythm and coordination, while toning target zones, including arms, core and lower body.

BodyJam
If you want to dance, there’s nothing like it – House, Hip-hop, Drum ‘n’ Bass, Trap, all styles of electronic dance music, it’s the soul of BODYJAM. While we’re pretty sure you’ll be too busy dancing your butt off, it’s good to know that you’ll be getting a killer workout and burning calories while you’re at it. Can’t hurt right?   • What is Group Fitness?

    Group fitness refers to exercise classes led by a certified instructor, where participants (usually over 10 per class) work out together in a group setting. Classes are designed to meet all types of fitness goals.

  • Do I need to be fit to join a Group Fitness class?

    Absolutely not! Group fitness classes cater to all fitness levels. Instructors often provide modifications for beginners and progressions for advanced participants, so you can work at your own pace.

  • What should I bring to a group fitness class?

    You’ll typically need: · Comfortable workout clothes and shoes. · A water bottle to stay hydrated. · Optional: A yoga mat for yoga or pilates classes (but we do provied)

  • Do I need to sign up in advance?

    Yes, although group fitness classes are included in your HealthQuest membership, sign up is required for all classes. You can sign up in the HQ mobile app!

  • How long are group fitness classes?

    Most classes range between 30 and 60 minutes, all of which are denoted on the HQ mobile app.

  • Are there any age resctrictions for classes?

    Members must be at least 13 years of age to participate in Group Fitness classes. We do offer a number of Kidz Group Fitness classes for younger participants as part of our included youth programming offerings.
