Small Group Training

Small group training allows for the personalization of personal training, the energy of group exercise, and the community to keep you going. Taught and led by certified professionals, you make the step of investing in yourself to become even better and level up your fitness. 8-12 participants in a class allows you to create lasting relationships with teammates that keep you coming back again and again.

PERFORMANCE REIMAGINED

The Garage is the performance destination for all members of HQ and our community. A small group training experience where we aim to get you to a higher level of fitness powered by energy, passion, and community. With us, no challenge is too great. Are you ready for more?

About the Program

The Garage programming gives you an individual approach in a group setting.  Our trainers use their expertise to carefully plan programs that keep the groups moving forward, with each individual in mind.  Key focuses and disciplines are:

  • Strength – Emphasize progressive strength training, incorporating foundational movements to build muscle mass, increase bone density, and enhance overall physical performance. (50 minutes)
  • Hybrid/Cross Training – Functional strength training class designed for performance and longevity. Through strength, endurance, and other modalities, we train you for everyday life. Expect high volume, constant challenges, and to compete against yourself every session. (60 minutes)
  • MetCon – High-intensity class geared toward increasing cardiovascular fitness to bring our your inner athlete. A heart-pumping, electric atmosphere will make the time fly by and get you moving better. (45 minutes)
  • Active Recovery – Every good strength training program includes active recovery. A time set aside for you to prioritize joint health and muscle recovery. Rehab and corrective exercises will be offered for upper body, lower body, and spine/core. (30 minutes)

What To Expect

Expect to work. Hard.

5-7 minutes of a warm-up to prime the body with movements geared toward the workout. Think mobility and prehab exercises to promote blood circulation and muscle activation. If you opt for a Hybrid or MetCon workout, basic agility and plyometric drills will be introduced to maintain elasticity of connective tissue and train quick-twitch muscle fibers to help you live a busy life. No matter the workout, you will see foundational movement patterns, unique exercise selection, and muscle specificity to keep your body adapting every session. Enjoy a brief wind down after every workout, used to calm the central nervous system, relax working muscle groups, and enhance continued recovery.

What Members Are Saying

  • What really stands out is the community—everyone encourages one another. The trainers are incredibly knowledgeable and supportive, and they always adjust movements when needed. I never felt intimidated because people of all sizes, strengths, and experience levels train together. We all show up to work and try our best. The Garage classes are designed for everyone. Whether you’re just starting out, have some experience, or are already strong but want a trainer-led program to follow, there’s a place for you.

  • I get almost the same individual attention as with a PT, in a small group setting, and with programs that appeal to me and my fitness objectives. It started with Strength training, and then I added MetCon, and it has become a regular and necessary part of my week. [...] There are other options in the area, but I have not found any that can replace HQ or The Garage. It helps that I have been working out with the same group for 3+ years now, but as the Coaches and programs have changed, the core culture has remained, and I love it.

  • It’s a great place to come work out no matter what your skill level, there is always someone willing to help; it’s a great place for community and to make friends; and it's also great for families since you can also utilize the KidsQuest. That has helped us a lot to be able to commit to something like since there is also a fun and safe place for our daughter to hang out too!

  • The coaches actually get involved in your progress. They take the time to understand your goals and how your body works. If I’m dealing with an injury or trying to push toward a specific milestone, they’ll help me modify [...] so it’s actually effective for me. That personal focus really helps with results, and it makes the whole community feel more connected. My activity level is way up and my sleep has improved so much that I haven't used my CPAP machine in about four months. [And I am] hitting new PRs in my 40s. [The Garage] challenging and it’ll push you, but it’s approachable for anyone.

  • The Garage is for everyone! I would highly recommend checking out the Garage program if you are looking to increase fitness and strength, improve your overall cardiovascular strength, and improve your balance and agility.
