This program is designed for adults of all abilities and offers a wide variety of activities to meet everyone’s unique needs, interests, and goals. From sports, fitness, and recreation to creative arts, games, and wellness programs, we have something for everyone. There is truly any option imaginable to make each participant’s experience meaningful and enjoyable.
We are DDD-approved and committed to providing a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where participants can learn, grow, and thrive both physically and socially. Whether your goal is to stay active, make new friends, or try something new, our caring and experienced staff ensure that everyone feels included, valued, and successful every step of the way.

Abilities in Action Program Options
Adaptive Basketball
Our Adult Adaptive Basketball Program is an all-inclusive, fun, and supportive environment designed for adults of all abilities to enjoy the game of basketball. This program focuses on teamwork, skill-building, and fitness while celebrating each participant’s unique strengths. Every activity and drill is adaptable to meet individual needs, ensuring that everyone can participate and succeed at their own level.
Led by experienced and compassionate coaches, the program promotes confidence, social interaction, and physical wellness through engaging warm-ups, guided instruction, and friendly games. Whether participants are brand new to basketball or experienced players, the emphasis is always on inclusion, encouragement, and having fun on the court.
It’s not just about basketball—it’s about belonging, building friendships, and experiencing the joy of play together!
Adaptive Pickleball
Designed for all skill levels in a fun, inclusive, and supportive environment! Whether you’re new to the game or have some experience, this class focuses on teamwork, skill-building, and staying active while making new friends.
Our friendly coaches provide easy-to-follow instruction and adapt the game to fit each player’s abilities, ensuring everyone has a great time. With a mix of drills, group activities, and friendly matches, you’ll improve coordination, stay fit, and enjoy the social side of sports.

Multi-Sports
Our Adult Adaptive Multi-Sports Program is an inclusive, high-energy class designed for adults of all abilities to stay active, build friendships, and have fun through a variety of sports and games. Each week, participants enjoy a mix of activities such as kickball, wiffle ball, ping pong, cornhole, and volleyball—all adapted to fit every skill level and ability.
Led by caring and experienced coaches, the program focuses on teamwork, coordination, and confidence, while emphasizing participation over competition. Every game can be modified so that everyone can play, succeed, and have a great time no matter their experience or physical ability.
This all-inclusive sports experience promotes fitness, friendship, and fun, giving every participant the chance to discover new sports, learn new skills, and enjoy the spirit of play in a welcoming environment.
Adaptive Fitness & Wellness
Designed for adults with special needs of all ability levels. This fun, inclusive program focuses on improving strength, balance, flexibility, and overall health in a safe and supportive environment. Each workout is fully adaptable so every participant can move at their own pace and feel successful. Along with physical fitness, the class also includes simple lessons on healthy nutrition, body awareness, and positive lifestyle habits to promote long-term wellness. Participants will build confidence, enhance coordination, and enjoy exercising in a friendly, encouraging atmosphere where everyone belongs and every achievement is celebrated. We offer private training and group training.
Sports & Socialization
This program offers a welcoming space where participants of all abilities can stay active, learn new sports and activities, and most importantly—make new friends.
Each session features a variety of light, adaptive sports and movement-based games that promote fitness, coordination, and teamwork. Alongside the physical activities, we include structured social time with fun group games, conversation starters, and teamwork challenges to help build confidence and meaningful friendships.
Whether you’re trying something for the first time or just want to be part of a friendly, supportive group, this class is all about having fun, staying healthy, and connecting with others in a safe and encouraging environment. The program runs 9:00am-3:00pm on Wednesdays. You can customize your time to fit your needs whether it is 9:00-3:00 /10-12 or whatever fits your schedule!
Adaptive Taekwon-Do
Our inclusive Taekwon-Do program is designed for individuals of all abilities. Personalized instruction focuses on improving balance, self-regulation, confidence, situational awareness, flexibility, and strength. Each participant receives customized training using Taekwon-Do techniques adapted to support their unique goals and individual needs.
Monday Night Fun: Community Connections Program
The Monday Night Community Connections Program is a structured, community-based social and recreational program designed to provide adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities with meaningful opportunities to build friendships, develop social skills, increase community participation, make independent choices, and participate in recreational and leisure activities in an inclusive and supportive environment.
The program provides participants with a welcoming place to spend time with peers, develop natural relationships, explore personal interests, and participate in activities that promote socialization, communication, confidence, independence, physical wellness, creativity, and community inclusion.
Each Monday evening, participants will have the opportunity to choose from a variety of structured activities based on their interests and individual goals, including:
Karaoke and music activities
Board games and group games
Arts and crafts
Socialization and friendship-building activities
Team-building and cooperative activities
Dance and movement activities
Problem-solving and interactive games
Themed social events and special activities
Communication and social-skills activities
The program is designed to support participants in:
Increasing Community Participation
Participants will have regular opportunities to participate in structured recreational and social activities outside of their home environment.
Developing Natural Relationships
The program encourages participants to meet peers, develop friendships, practice appropriate social interactions, and build meaningful relationships within their community.
Increasing Independence and Choice
Participants will be encouraged to make choices regarding activities, peers, interests, and how they spend their time. Staff will provide appropriate support while promoting the individual’s independence rather than doing activities for them.
Developing Social and Communication Skills
Activities will provide opportunities to practice conversation, turn-taking, teamwork, cooperation, listening, decision-making, self-advocacy, and appropriate social behavior.
Developing Leisure and Recreation Skills
Participants will be introduced to different recreational activities and supported in learning how to independently participate in and enjoy leisure activities.
Promoting Physical Wellness
Sports, movement, dance, and other physical activities will encourage participants to remain active while developing coordination, teamwork, confidence, and healthy leisure habits.
Increasing Confidence and Self-Advocacy
Participants will be encouraged to express preferences, make choices, try new activities, interact with peers, and advocate for their needs and interests.
Individualized Support
Activities and staff supports will be adapted according to each participant’s individual needs, abilities, preferences, communication style, and person-centered goals.
Staff will provide appropriate support to help participants access activities, interact with peers, make choices, develop skills, and participate as independently as possible.
The program will focus on supporting participation rather than simply providing supervision or entertainment.
Monday Evenings | 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM
5:30–5:45 PM – Arrival, socialization and participant choice
5:45–6:15 PM – Sports, games or physical activity
6:15–6:45 PM – Choice-based activity: karaoke, arts & crafts, games, etc.
6:45–7:00 PM – Group socialization, cleanup and closing activity
Activities may change weekly based on participant choice, interests, seasonal activities, and individual goals.
The ultimate goal of Monday Night Community Connections is to provide individuals with disabilities with a consistent, welcoming community environment where they can develop friendships, practice social and independent-living skills, participate in recreation, discover new interests, and experience meaningful community inclusion.
