Frequently Asked Questions About the Fitness Center Reorganization
Q: Will there be mirrors?
A: Yes, we had to see exact rack placement before ordering mirrors so they will be coming soon.

Q: Where is my Smith Machine?
A: The rack all the way to the right will be a Smith Machine once final attachments arrive. We apologize for the slight delay on those items.

Q: Why are there different plates?
A: The plates on the far left rack are in KILOS and CALIBRATED. These are metal plates so they are exactly the weight they say and they certainly feel it! Remember, 1 kilo is 2.2 pounds!

Q: What’s with the different bars?
A: We have 2 competition bars (red caps on the end) that are stiff bars used for squat and bench. We then have 5 Olympic bars (blue caps on the end) that are good for all lifts. The 2 green Rogue bars are meant for deadlifts. Additionally, there is 1 red bar that is a female grip bar.

Q: Can we take plates and bars to other areas?
A: No, Eleiko bars and weights are to stay in the new rack area. Please be respectful and responsible with the beautiful new equipment and keep weights/bars where they are.

Q: Where are my trap bars?
A: The platforms are a bit too wide for the existing trap bars. This results in the weights landing on the platform instead of the pad. In order to protect against damage to the new platforms. New, wider trap bars have been ordered and will arrive soon.
Parisi Speed School
Parisi Speed School at HealthQuest is excited to announce our first NCAA sponsored athletes; Becci Fluchel and Emily Mason, currently with Rutgers University Women’s Soccer. Emily and Becci are two of our longest-tenured athletes at Parisi HealthQuest; both began training with us when we opened in 2015. They came to us with obvious potential and natural athleticism, but the most impressive thing about both of these girls was their willingness to show up and put in the work every day. They are prime examples of what happens when natural talent meets hard work, and the exciting part is that they’re just getting started.

We are proud and honored to make them the first sponsored collegiate athletes in the Parisi Speed School network, and even more proud of the strong, independent, and driven young women we’ve seen them become.

Becci Fluchel is from North Hunterdon Regional High School where she was the all-time leading scorer and single-season leading scorer. Becci is a Sophomore at Rutgers University who has started in 23 out of 24 games this year, including the Big 10 Championship. Her individual honors include:
2021 Academic All-Big Ten
2021 All-Big Ten Second Team
2020-21 Big Ten All-Freshman Team
2021 Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week
Captained PDA to U-17 ECNL National title in 2019

Emily Mason, from Hunterdon Central Regional High School, is a Freshman player on the Big 10 Championship Rutgers team and was named to Top Drawer Soccer Preseason Best XI Freshman Team. Her individual honors include:
2019-20 Gatorade National Player of the Year
Twice New Jersey Gatorade Player of the Year (2019-20, 2020-21)
2020 U20 WNT
2021- 2022 U20 WNT
2020 New Jersey Girls Soccer Coaches Association (NJGSCA) Player of the Year
2019 ECNL National Champion with PDA

Parisi Speed School at HealthQuest is located downstairs in the HealthQuest facility.
Parent Reminders
Parental Responsibilities
Parents are required to be in the building when children are in class or checked in to childcare areas. Also, please assure that your children utilize the restroom prior to class. Please stop in to see Member Services to update your “Emergency Contact” information and photo annually.

Arrival for Classes
PLEASE have child use the bathroom before any class drop-off or childcare check-in. Children must be checked into KidQuest or KidZone 15 min. prior to class if you are utilizing transportation services. For parents bringing children to class, please arrive on-time to class so as not to disrupt a class that has already begun.

Transportation
For your convenience, HealthQuest Staff is available to transport children checked into childcare areas to their classes. Parents must inform staff as to which class(es) their child(ren) will be attending when checking them in to childcare. Children who are transported to class MUST be transported back to the childcare location they were transported from, as they must be accounted for. Transportation will depart 10 minutes prior to the class start time. For children who miss transportation, it is the responsibility of the parent to both Drop Off AND Pick Up from the class location. Please be punctual for transportation.

Pick-Up from Classes
Parents who brought children to class MUST pick children up from class at the time the class ends. Any child not picked up on time will be transported to either KidQuest (ages 3-6) or KidZone (ages 7-12). Children who were transported by HealthQuest Staff will be returned to their designated childcare location and MUST be picked up from that location.

Attendance/Tardiness
Children more than 10 minutes late should not be entered into class for that specific day as it causes substantial disruption to the overall experience. Three (3) unexcused absences or excessive absences will result in the child being removed from

the class so that a child on the waiting list is given the opportunity to participate. Please email programdesk@hqfit.com if your child is going to be absent for a program, in order to not incur an “unexcused absence”.
