Leading and keeping a healthy lifestyle takes determination and grit. That’s why Les Mills 30 minute fitness sessions are called the GRIT Series. The 30 minute workouts combine weightlifting, running & plyometrics that increase aerobic capacity, strength, muscular endurance & power. The classes take place in the HealthQuest Sport Center.
The sessions are series based, and range in cost based on the length and the demands of the sessions. Several series are launching this month, including two classes on Monday and Thursday, and two classes on Tuesday and Thursday. The registration form can be found here: GRIT FORM
The three kinds of Les Mills GRIT sessions are GRIT Plyo, GRIT Strength, and GRIT Cardio.
Plyo is a 30-minute high-intensity interval training (HIIT) plyometric-based workout, designed to make you perform like an athlete. This workout uses a bench and combines explosive jumping exercises with agility training to increase explosiveness and to build a lean and athletic body. LES MILLS GRIT Plyo takes cutting edge HIIT and combines it with powerful music and inspirational coaches who will be down on the floor with you motivating you to go harder to get fit, fast.
Strength is a 30-minute high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workout, designed to improve strength and build lean muscle. This workout uses barbell, weight plate and body weight exercises to blast all major muscle groups.
Cardio is a 30-minute high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workout that improves cardiovascular fitness, increase speed and maximize calorie burn. This workout uses a variety of body weight exercises and provides the challenge and intensity you need to get results fast.
