Swim 4 Life (like Relay 4 Life) is a community based event which celebrates the lives of people who battled cancer, remembers loved ones lost, and fights back against the disease. This event, created by the American Cancer Society, has accumulated billions of dollars through the help of their volunteers for the past 28 years. However, Swim 4 Life is not about the amount of money raised but about the inspiration and hope it has given to millions of cancer survivors and caregivers.
HealthQuest of Hunterdon has decided to take part in the fight by hosting their first annual Swim 4 Life. Taking place on July 1, 2012 in their outdoor pool (weather permitting) will be lap swimming, relay racing, and an Aqua Fun Run. Donations are required to participate and all the proceeds will go directly to the American Cancer Society to help advance their research in prevention and treatment.
Your commitment to fund-raise is not a small one and we appreciate your efforts in asking your friends, family, co-workers and community to participate or donate to the fight against cancer. Each person who shares in the Swim 4 Life experience can take pride in knowing that they are working to create a world where this disease will no longer threaten the lives of our loved ones or claim another year of anyone’s life.
